They already work with AI.
Three in four Gen Z and millennial workers use AI in their day-to-day work, up from 57% of Gen Z and 56% of millennials a year earlier. 79% of both generations use AI to find learning and development opportunities.
Their managers are not ready for it. In a July 2026 Indeed and YouGov survey, 43% of managers said they were poorly equipped, or not equipped at all, to lead a workforce with AI expertise.
The reps that built the skill are changing.
Asking why. Checking the answer. Owning the call. These are behavioral skills, and they come from repetition with feedback. AI now does much of the first-draft work that supplied the repetition.
The Conference Board's 2026 research on AI and the corporate apprenticeship model found a talent gap, not a technology gap, behind AI value, and the first casualty is the development path early-career employees relied on.
AI-era skills are behavioral skills.
They fade without frequent reps. Deliberate practice, the spacing effect and the forgetting curve all point the same way: short, frequent practice holds, and a one-time course does not. That is why RCM ThinkLabs runs a few minutes a day, not a quarterly event.
A test gets the familiar jargon. A story gets the actual skill.
On a test, people repeat the language they were trained to use. In RCM ThinkLabs, people investigate a world that is not theirs and question characters who have their own interests and hold things back. There is no script to repeat, so people use the skill.
The measurement is never shown, so they decide instead of performing. And they come back to find out what happens next.
Gen Z gets the practice. Millennials get the opening to coach.
A few minutes a day of real decisions
Private feedback from a character after every session, and a record of their own growth that starts on day one.
Something to coach from
Millennials became the largest share of the managerial workforce in late June 2025. RCM Advisor shows who is improving, and on what, so coaching starts from what people did.
Generation ranges follow Deloitte: Gen Z born 1995 to 2007, millennials born 1983 to 1994.
Behavioral skills compound when the loop keeps turning.
- Practice the person, a few minutes a day.
- Feedback to the person, every session, measured against their own baseline.
- Coaching the manager, from what each person is working on, through RCM Advisor.
- Compound each session and cycle starts higher. Stopped, skill decays.
Our game-theory engine runs the loop inside an immersive narrative. Every character has its own interests. Information is incomplete. Every decision comes back as feedback.
What changed at Wingbrace.
Production data from an advanced engineering team over 39 days, measured against each person's own opening baseline.
Leaders used it. People noticed.
Wingbrace's chief operating officer used the deep dive reports in mid-term performance reviews. Its program manager reports people doing better in the company's own communication exams, and people getting excited and paying attention.
The exam and engagement observations are Wingbrace's own. RCM ThinkLabs did not measure them. Read what Wingbrace said.
Questions leaders ask
What is RCM ThinkLabs for the early-career workforce?
A daily practice and measurement platform for Gen Z and millennials. People practice behavioral skills inside an immersive narrative for a few minutes a day, and their managers see who is improving, and on what, from what people actually did.
Why does RCM ThinkLabs use a story instead of a test?
On a test, people repeat the language they were trained to use. In a story with characters who have their own interests, there is no script to repeat, so people use the skill. The measurement is never shown, so people decide instead of performing.
Are AI-era skills behavioral skills?
Yes. Asking why, checking the answer and owning the call are behaviors, and behaviors fade without frequent practice. Deliberate practice, the spacing effect and the forgetting curve all favor short, frequent reps over a one-time course.
